Convergix Automation Solutions began moving into a former Core X Hutt building at 1362 Lincoln Ave. in Holland in September. The company plans to open the 60,000-square-foot facility on Nov. 1, 2026.

Convergix Automation Solutions began occupying the former Core X Hutt building in early September 2026. The 60,000-square-foot site sits at 1362 Lincoln Ave. in Holland's south-side manufacturing corridor.

Renovations and hiring are still underway. Convergix expects the facility to begin operations on Nov. 1, according to MLive's report. The site will become the company's fourth Michigan location.

The Holland project adds capacity instead of replacing the company's existing facilities. Convergix plans to keep its locations in Bridgman, Lakeshore and Auburn Hills as part of its Michigan network while the new site takes on customer work, engineering and automation projects.

Convergix expects its initial investment to exceed $500,000. The money will cover renovations and building upgrades, office furniture, shop equipment, electrical power infrastructure, compressed air and lighting, according to information reported by Reuters.

The Holland operation could generate about $40 million in annual revenue. Convergix also expects to add more than 40 full-time jobs by 2027. More than 19 positions were posted when MLive published its report.

There is a timing difference in the published accounts. MLive described the target as more than 40 jobs by 2027, while Reuters put the employment goal at more than 40 jobs by early 2028.

Sam Gooding, president of Convergix Industrial Solutions, said the expansion should help the company handle customer demand and create more openings for employees. Convergix also pointed to West Michigan's engineering and skilled-trades workforce as a reason for adding capacity in the region.

For Holland, the project is a private investment in an established industrial area. It does not involve Farmington-area public services. The announcement names no action by the City of Farmington, the City of Farmington Hills or the Farmington Public Schools board, and the project is outside Oakland County administration.

The facility is in the City of Holland. Residents and businesses can find general municipal information on the City of Holland website. The job and investment numbers are company projections, not a public-school, county-government or State of Michigan departmental hiring announcement.

Michigan's manufacturing sector has seen wider discussion about supplier growth and workforce development, including an earlier supplier report. The Holland project itself is more specific: one named building, a 60,000-square-foot footprint and a company target of Nov. 1 for the launch.

Before the site opens, Convergix must finish renovations, install equipment and continue recruiting. The company has not released detailed shift schedules or a final list of positions. It also has not announced changes to its Bridgman, Lakeshore or Auburn Hills operations.

The Holland facility will give Convergix another base for customer work while the company keeps its other Michigan sites running. If the hiring and operating targets are met, the location will add more than 40 full-time positions and support new automation and engineering work in West Michigan.
