Corrections Policy

Correction

A correction may be appropriate when a published factual statement, number, date, quotation, identity or other material detail is wrong.

Clarification

A clarification may be appropriate when the original information is not necessarily false but additional context or wording is needed to prevent a materially misleading interpretation.

Updates

Developing stories may be updated as new documents, official decisions, responses or other verified information becomes available.

An update is not automatically a correction.

Minor Edits

Spelling, grammar, formatting, broken links or stylistic changes that do not materially alter meaning may be corrected without a separate correction note.

How We Review a Correction Request

Farmington Voice may review the published article, underlying source material, new evidence and relevant authoritative documentation.

A request to remove accurate reporting solely because it is unfavorable does not establish that a correction is required.

How to Report an Error

Email corrections@farmingtonvoice.com and include:

• The article URL;
• The specific statement you believe is incorrect;
• A reliable supporting source or explanation;
• Your contact details if follow-up is necessary.
