New Hampshire residents can take part in a range of community events this week, including a golf tournament, film festival, city cleanup, and adult game club. Activities are scheduled in Salem, Concord, Bedford, and other towns, with options for all interests.

Residents across New Hampshire have a full calendar of community events to choose from this week, with activities ranging from sports and film to volunteer cleanups and social gatherings. Local organizations and venues in Salem, Concord, Bedford, Merrimack, Nashua, and Portsmouth are hosting events designed to bring neighbors together and support local causes.

On Monday, the Greater Salem Contractors Association will hold its 22nd Annual Drive Away Hunger Golf Tournament at the Atkinson Resort & Country Club. The event aims to raise funds to address food insecurity in the region. Also on Monday, the Salem Historical Society will present the Flashback Film Fest at its museum, offering a look at classic films for local movie enthusiasts.

Volunteer and Social Activities

Community members interested in volunteering can join the 36th Annual Pitch In at the Concord City Auditorium, where participants help maintain and improve the historic venue. For those looking to connect with others, the Bedford Public Library is hosting a Game Club for Adults, providing a space for board games and social interaction. Additional Monday activities include bird-dog training at the Dover Friends Meeting House.

Tuesday's schedule features a variety of workshops and gatherings. The Bedford Public Library will host "Mel Allen: Listening to New England," while The Canvas Roadshow in Bedford offers a Pressed Flowers Resin Workshop. Concord Public Library will run a Tweens Dungeons & Dragons session, and Arts Alley in Concord will present live music during Industry Night. Support sessions for the newly bereaved and a monthly meeting of the Merrimack Historical Society are also planned.

Music, Dining, and Upcoming Events

Wednesday brings more opportunities for community engagement, including the Bedford Village Inn's Annual Cigar Dinner and Storytime at the Parks in Concord's Rollins Park. The Heights Branch Library in Concord will host Web Wednesday, and GoodLife Programs & Activities will offer a summer guide to CCRC living. Music lovers can attend the Rooftop Social Sam Adams Summer Concert Series at Arts Alley or enjoy live performances by Krimson Krew in Bicentennial Square and an 11-piece show band at the First Congregational Church in Concord.

Other Wednesday events include a Membership Social at The Homestead Restaurant & Tavern in Merrimack, Vinyasa Chill and Flow at Auria Wellness, and a Bonsai Bar at Liquid Therapy Brewery & Grill in Nashua. Nashua Public Library will also hold office hours for Ward 1 Alderman and State Representatives.

Looking Ahead

Several featured events are scheduled in the coming weeks. The Hampton Child Care Center will hold an open house on August 21, and Ava Valianti will perform live at The Music Hall Lounge in Portsmouth on August 22. The Dover Elks Lodge 184 will host an Antiques and Vintage Market on August 22 and an Antique Show and Vintage Market on September 12. Additional upcoming activities include an estate sale in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, a free introduction to digital photography in Amherst, the Wags to Whiskers Festival in Nashua, and The Craftworkers' Guild Harvest Shop in Bedford. An AI workshop is also planned for November 21 in Amherst.

Residents can find more information and submit their own events through the Patch Events calendar, which is updated regularly for communities across New Hampshire. Event listings are free on one Patch site, with options to share on additional sites for a small fee. Statewide event roundups are published most Sundays and Wednesdays, providing a comprehensive guide to local happenings.

Community events like these offer residents a chance to connect, volunteer, and enjoy local culture. Organizers encourage participation and welcome new volunteers and attendees at each gathering.
