Youth Assistance honors 28 Farmington area students

Farmington Youth Assistance (FYA) honored 28 student volunteers during its 33rd Annual Youth Recognition Awards, held on April 24 at Glen Oaks Country Club in Farmington Hills.

Students must be nominated for the awards, which recognize local youth in grades 6-12 who exhibit exemplary volunteer service for a minimum of 100 hours in the community through a faith-based organization or school. This year’s award recipients include:

“Thank you to all of our volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible,” stated Lynn Halton, a member of the FYA Board of Directors and Youth Recognition chair. “I am so incredibly proud of all the students that we recognized here today.” A Farmington High School Strings Quartet provided music for the program.
