Here’s what you should know about Labor Day weekend in Farmington and Farmington Hills:
Trash collection delayed
Trash will not be collected in Farmington and Farmington Hills on Monday, Sept. 3. All garbage, recycling, and yard waste pickups will be delayed by one day during the entire week with Friday’s collection made on Saturday.
Farmington Community Library closed
Both the Main Library, 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills, and the Farmington branch, 23500 Liberty St., will be closed Sept. 1, 2, and 3.
Government offices closed
Farmington and Farmington Hills City Halls and the 47th District Court will be closed Sept. 3.
Farmington Farmers Market open
The Saturday, Sept. 1 market, open 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., will feature live music, children’s activities, and vendors selling Michigan produce and products. Learn more at farmingtonfarmersmarket.com.
