Farmington residents have an opportunity January 8 to share their opinions about a proposal to build 14 homes on former 47th District Court property on 10 Mile Road west of Raphael.
The Farmington Planning Commission public hearing begins at 7 p.m., in council chambers at Farmington City Hall, 23600 Liberty St.
In October, city council members unanimously approved a $250,000 offer from Boji Development (doing business as Ten Mile Development) to purchase the nearly 4-acre property. The purchase price assumes that the developer will demolish existing buildings.
“We are excited to have this development coming to the city,” City Manager David Murphy said in a press release. “This property has been vacant for about 14 years. It’ll be nice to have it bring more families to our community and school district.”
