Wayne State campus in Farmington Hills set to close

Citing investments in other parts of the Detroit metro area, Wayne State University has announced it will close its Farmington Hills Oakland campus in January, 2018.

Crain’s Detroit reported last week that the 16.4-acre property on 12 Mile Road just west of Farmington Road will be up for sale by the end of the year. In addition to Wayne State students, the campus has served as a home for SOAR (Society of Active Retirees), which offers lectures, field trips, and special events for more than 900 members.
