Two members of the Farmington Public Safety Department will be out on Halloween, patrolling Farmington neighborhoods and handing out glow necklaces and bags of snacks to trick-or-treaters.

This marks the 25th year for the program, which is designed to give children a positive first impression of police officers. Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market donated the snacks; goodies will be handed out beginning 6 p.m. on October 31.
In addition to this program, the public safety department will have extra patrol in Farmington neighborhoods during the Halloween season.
