If you’ve always wanted to be a firefighter, attend an informational meeting held Thursday, June 14, 7 p.m., at Farmington Hills Fire Station #5, 31455 W. 11 Mile Rd.

Fire Department Training Exercise

The Farmington Hills Fire Department is looking for paid, on-call firefighters. These part-time firefighters typically respond to emergencies in the evenings and on weekends. Applicants are not required to be Farmington Hills residents, but they must live close enough (within one mile of the city’s borders), so that they are able to respond quickly to emergencies.

Once trained, paid-on-call firefighters become part of the highly acclaimed Farmington Hills Fire Department. They respond to medical emergencies, extinguish fires, participate in fire prevention activities, receive continuous training, and enjoy the personal satisfaction that comes from helping others in the community.
