Farmington High School’s Megan Cromwell and Sophia Franklin and North Farmington High School’s Kjirsten Zahn performed at the 55th annual Michigan Youth Arts Festival held May 19 and 20 in Kalamazoo.

Only 120 out of Michigan’s more than 1.5 million students qualify for the Allstate Honors Choir. Performers were judged during two auditions and two performances on memorization, note/pitch accuracy, sight reading, rhythm, musicality, and vocal dynamics.

The MSVMA Allstate honors Choir final performance of the year was at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University’s Miller Auditorium on May 20. The three standout students were awarded “Distinguished Scholar” certificates from the Michigan Youth Association.
