There’s still time to get your absent voter ballot

Election Day is less than a week away, but there’s still time to receive and cast your absent voter (AV) ballot.

The deadline to ask for an AV ballot to be mailed to you is Friday, November 1, at 5 p.m. To request an AV ballot, or if you’ve requested but not received one, call your City Clerk’s office, 248-871-2410 in Farmington Hills and 248-474-5500, ext. 2218 in Farmington.

Absent voter ballots can be returned up until 8 p.m. on Election Day, at your City Hall. You may also vote at your polling place on Election Day, provided you have not yet returned your AV ballot.

Please remember to sign your return ballot envelope. The Clerk’s Office is unable to process your ballot without that signature.

Farmington Hills has two drop boxes for your ballot. You’ll find a walk-up drop on the south entrance wall at City Hall and a drive-up drop box near the post office boxes in front of the Police Department.

Both City Clerk offices will be open Saturday, November 2, from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for election-related business. Farmington Hills City Hall is at 31555 W. 11 Mile Rd.; Farmington City Hall is at 23600 Liberty St.
