Orchard Lake Philharmonic performs holiday classics

Orchard Lake Philharmonic will present Sounds of the Season, under the direction of Norman A. Logan, on Friday Dec. 8, 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church of Farmington, 26165 Farmington Road, Farmington Hills.

The program will include Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers”, “Procession of the Nobles” by Rimsky-Korsokov, and “Concerto Grosso in G minor, Op. 6, No.8” by Corelli featuring  soloists Donna Swoboda and Barbara Goldman, violinists and Linda Anderson, cello. A premiere presentation of “Snowy Michigan Morn” composed by Logan, will begin the program, and the concert will conclude with “White Christmas” by Irving Berlin.
