Once a Hawk, Always a Hawk: Harrison High preps for closing

Once A Hawk Always a HawkThe Harrison High community has planned a number of events and activities to commemorate the school’s legacy during its final year.

The 49-year-old building is slated for closure in spring of 2019.

Families, alumni, and staff are invited to participate in the following:

Final homecoming weekend – September 21 and 22, 2018

Friday evening activities include school tours and an auditorium presentation highlighting Harrison’s lauded history. Taligates and tours will precede the homecoming football game on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Stoney Creek on Buller Field. Harrison’s final homecoming dance will take place on Saturday evening in the gymnasium from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

All classes are invited to hold their reunions and gatherings on this final homecoming weekend. Please contact Angela Leach, angela.leach@farmington.k12.mi.us, to make arrangements and have your class recognized.

End of school year celebration – May 30 and June 1, 2019

On Friday evening, an all-staff dinner will be held at Glen Oaks Country Club. For reservations or information, write to hhsstaffdinner@gmail.com. The entire community is invited to a June 1 closing event, with a memorabilia sale, closing ceremony, and alumni concert.

Photos will be shared on an alumni wall.
