New Farmington Schools scholarship honors retiring superintendent

A scholarship has been created in honor of Dr. George C. Heitsch, retiring superintendent for Farmington Public Schools, recognizing his lifetime commitment to public schools.

The Dr. George C. Heitsch Academic Scholarship will provide a student from Farmington Central High School (FCHS) another opportunity to reach his/her goals. FCHS serves 16 – 19 year olds in an alternative setting, while meeting the educational benchmarks of Farmington Public Schools.

If you’re interested in contributing to the Heitsch Scholarship, contact Nancy Jennings, executive director for the Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation, at director@ffhedfoundation.org or 248-426-2897.
