New administrators named at Farmington, North

Farmington Public Schools officials have hired new administrators for Farmington and North Farmington High Schools.

Lisa Mockeridge (Farmington Public Schools)

New Farmington High assistant principal Liza Mockeridge joins the leadership team of Principal Thomas Shelton, Assistant Principal Lawrence Stroughter, and Assistant Principal Tyrone Weeks. She previously served as Assistant Principal at Wayne Memorial High School, starting in 2016.

Mockeridge began her career in education as a special education teacher at Romulus Middle School in 1997. In 2003, she transitioned into a teacher consultant/special education chair role, then in 2005 moved into a guidance counselor position at Romulus High School. In 2010, she became the director of guidance at Romulus High School and, in 2012, added the role of Romulus Early College Programs virtual academy director.

Mockeridge earned a Bachelor of Science from the Eastern Michigan University, her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Oakland University, and her Education Specialist in Leadership from the University of Toledo. She holds a K-12 Teaching Certification in Special Education, and 7-12 Certification in Social Studies, and Career Development Facilitator Certification.

Christine Meussner
Christine Meussner (Farmington Public Schools)

Christine Meussner has been selected to serve as assistant principal at North Farmington High, joining the leadership team of Principal Joseph Greene, Assistant Principal Timothy Carruthers, and Assistant Principal Tonya Corbitt.

Meussner had previously served as an Assistant Principal at Crestwood High School since 2017. She began her career in education in 2005 as a special education teacher at Riverside Middle School. In 2009, her special education teaching role took her to Crestwood High School. Meussner remained in this role until 2013, when she transitioned into a school social worker role at Crestwood High School.

Meussner earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University and her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University. She holds a Michigan Secondary Education Professional Teaching Certification, is an endorsed School Social Worker, is a licensed Master Social Worker and holds a Secondary School Administrative Certificate.
