Concert in the Courtyard

Tuesday, Aug. 8, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Enjoy an evening of live music from the 1950’s with Steve Floyd, along with light refreshments, and appetizers in the courtyard at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Meet staff and learn about new City of Farmington Hills fall programs. No fee. All ages welcome.

Stars in the Park – Farmington Community Chorus

Farmington Community Chorus

Thursday, Aug. 10, 7 p.m., Heritage Park, 24725 Farmington Rd., Farmington Hills. Established in 1980, the 80-member chorus will sing a mix of pop, jazz, and classical vocals. If it rains, the concert will be held at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Road. Hotline: 248-473-1848.

Rhythmz in Riley Park – Crazy Chestur

Friday, Aug. 11, 7:30 p.m. Sundquist Pavilion & Riley Park, downtown Farmington. Featuring bass, drums, guitar, fiddle and leader Charley Walmsley’s soulful piano, Crazy Chestur performs original music and covers tunes by Bob Dylan and The Band. Admission is free. If it rains, the concert will be held at First United Methodist Church across the street from the park. Check for updates.

Italian-American Day at the Farmers Market

Finnish Center Arts & Crafts Fair

Farmington Area Softball Tournament & Picnic

Saturday, Aug. 12, Founders Sports Park, 35500 W. Eight Mile Rd., Farmington Hills. Bring the family for a day of softball and fun activities that include a bounce house, police and fire truck tours. Benefits Farmington S.A.F.E. and the Graham E. Smith Memorial Fund.
