Miss Farmington gives little dancers a princess lesson

Little dancers from Mid American Studio in Farmington Hills entertained visitors and met Miss Farmington 2018 at Saturday’s Farmington Farmers and Artisans Market.

Mid American Studio director Natalie Soave said her students spent the summer learning ballet moves and what it means to be a princess. And Megan Cromwell, crowned last month, was there to decide whether the girls had what it takes to be princesses for the day.

“To be a true princess, you have to remember it’s not about the crown you’re wearing on your head,” Cromwell said. “You have to be nice to others, friendly, always be able to step out of your comfort zone. Just remember to stand tall, smile, and be kind to everyone you see.”

The students demonstrated ballet moves and then performed a special dance to a Disney tune medley. Take a look:
