Organizers have extended the deadline for applications to be part of the Miss Farmington Cities program, which serves as the unofficial kick-off for the Greater Farmington Founders Festival in mid-July.
In addition to the titles, contestants will vie for thousands of dollars in scholarships. Any qualified candidate may bring an application to the first orientation, held Saturday, April 13, 2 p.m., at John Cowley & Sons, 33338 Grand River in Farmington.
To compete, contestants must be:
- A young woman between the ages of 14-17 by December 31, 2019
- A resident of Farmington/Farmington Hills, or a resident of the 48167 and 48025 ZIP codes who attends Farmington Public Schools
- Able to attend orientation, 2-3 rehearsals, and dress rehearsal
Contestants may not be a senior graduating in May of 2019 and must have a sponsor, which the pageant can help secure.
