Marshmallows drop August 13 in Heritage Park

See the city’s largest campfire ever and have some family fun on Tuesday, August 13, at the annual Marshmallow Fly and Fry in Farmington Hills.

Held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heritage Park, 24915 Farmington Road, the event features more than 1,000 marshmallows dropped from the top of a Farmington Hills firetruck ladder. After collecting marshmallows, kids can exchange them for other goodies.

The City of Farmington Hills Department of Special Services, the Fire Department, and Busch’s Fresh Food Market have partnered to create a fun event where families can cook hot dogs and s’mores over the campfire before the marshmallows drop. Kids can enjoy the splash pad, play on the bouncer, check out the fire trucks, and more.

Hot dogs, s’mores, drinks, and socks for the bouncer (in case you forgot yours) will be available for $1 per item.

The event is free to attend. For more information, call 248-473-1800.
