Learn about skilled, tech careers at Farmington Hills event

Learn about in-demand and high-paying jobs during a Wednesday, Feb. 7 Technical Career Night sponsored by the Farmington Hills/Farmington Commission on Children, Youth and Families.

Students, parents, veterans, career-changers are all welcome to attend the 7 p.m. event at the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills.

Get information from electricians, plumbers, realtors, and professionals from the HVAC, automotive, and environmental professions, who will share their career success stories.

Representatives from Farmington Public Schools, Oakland Schools Technical Campuses, and Oakland Community College will offer details on how technical training can provide an alternative path to further education and job satisfaction. For high school sophomores and juniors, help will be available with planning classes to prepare for a technical career.
