Grand Rapids-based K-12 data analytics firm Eidex LLC announced this week that former Farmington Public Schools Superintendent Dr. George Heitsch will join the firm as the Senior Client Service Manager.

“George is passionate about education and helping students achieve their full potential,” Eidex President Doug LaFleur said in a press release. “He has a keen appreciation of the role that data and data analysis can play in affecting school improvement and advancing student outcomes. We are honored and excited to work with him.”

The district’s new superintendent, Dr. Robert Herrera, listed a position with Eidex on his resume, starting in 2017 as a data consultant. A company representative said he left the firm in March of 2018.

Heitsch will provide support around data needs for K-12 districts primarily in the Southeast area of Michigan. He will also help guide product development and innovation, specifically in visualization design and new functionality.
