The Requiem in D minor, K. 626, was composed by Mozart in Vienna in late 1791, but it was unfinished at the time of his death on December 5. A completed version dated 1792, by Franz Xaver Süssmayr, was delivered to Count Franz von Walsegg, who commissioned the piece for a Requiem service to commemorate the anniversary of his wife’s death on February 14 . Dramatic and beautiful, the “Requiem” is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s final offering to posterity.

In addition to the collaborators from First Presbyterian, the performance will include four soloists (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) from Opera MODO.

The church is located at 26165 Farmington Rd. in Farmington Hills. For tickets and more information, visit thistleroseacademy.org.
