The League of Women Voters Oakland Area has posted its voter guides for the Tuesday, November 5 Farmington and Farmington Hills city elections.
The guides, which can be viewed and downloaded at lwvoa.org, provide basic information about each candidate, along with their answers to a questionnaire:

Farmington Hills will elect a new mayor (2-year term) and three city council members (4-year terms). Farmington voters will choose three council members; the two highest vote-getters earn 4-year terms and the third place candidate, a 2-year term. On the ballot are:
Farmington city council

- Sarah Davies
- Joe LaRussa (incumbent)
- Geof Perrot
- Steve Schneemann (incumbent)
Farmington Hills mayor
- Vicki Barnett
- Richard Lerner
Farmington Hills city council
- Jackie Boleware
- T. R. Carr
- Danette Duron-Willner
- Kenneth D. Massey
- Mary Newlin
In addition, incumbent Theresa Rich is running as a write-in candidate, after a filing affidavit error knocked her off the ballot.
Candidates may withdraw their names from the ballot up to three days after the filing deadline.
Farmington Hills council member Randy Bruce, whose term expires this year, did not file for re-election. He is running in 2020 for the 37th District State House seat. Incumbent council member Richard Lerner is a candidate for mayor.
