Help Farmington Jaycees stuff-a-truck for charity

The Farmington Area Jaycees will host a November 17 “Stuff A Truck” event at Target in Livonia, to help fill pantry shelves at C.A.R.E.S. of Farmington Hills.

Located on the former Servant Church of St. Alexander property in Farmington Hills, C.A.R.E.S. provides food, clothing, and other support for local families in need.

Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. to hand out “wish list” flyers and help sort donations; from 4-6 p.m., volunteers will wrap up the collection and head to C.A.R.E.S. to stock shelves. The truck has been donated by Men on the Move.

“The efforts of the Jaycees and volunteers will help us to keep food and toiletries on our shelves,” C.A.R.E.S. Director Todd Lipa said. “Our 750 families that depend our cares truly appreciate your support.”

An international people-building organization, Jaycees provide opportunities and experiences to develop leaders through involvement in local activities and events.
