Farmington area residents can take an active role in creating a more healthy community during the June 11 meeting of Beaumont’s Healthy Communities Coalition.
Anyone in Farmington or Farmington Hills can join the group, which includes diverse representatives to improve community health for all.
The first meeting of the Farmington-Farmington Hills Coalition will be held from 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, at C.A.R.E.S. of Farmington Hills, 27835 Shiawassee Road, just north of Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills.
Future meetings will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at C.A.R.E.S. Light refreshments will be available.
The first meeting’s agenda includes:
- mapping assets
- finding strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
- reviewing strategic planning, developing goals and objectives, forming action teams
- studying examples from other Beaumont Healthy Communities
- forming next steps
