‘Greatest Showman’ plays New Year’s Eve in Farmington

The Farmington Civic Theater will have a special, New Year’s Eve showing of “The Greatest Showman” (PG) at 9:30 p.m.

The Greatest Showman Hugh Jackman

After debuting Christmas 2017, the movie went on to become a word-of-mouth, box office hit.

Scott Freeman, general manager of the theater commented, “We thought it would be an exciting movie for New Year’s Eve because it appeals to all ages.” He added, “The movie will end at 11:15 p.m., allowing movie-goers to count down the new year at home.”

Hugh Jackman stars in this original musical inspired by the story of showman P.T. Barnum.

Jackman, along with costars Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and Zendaya, appear on the soundtrack, which is ending 2018 as the year’s fourth most popular album.

Tickets are $5 at the door or in advance at Eventbrite.com or at the box office. Cash only at the theater.
