With road construction season underway, the City of Farmington Hills has created an online map to help motorists navigate city projects, as well as county and state projects within city borders.
To find the map, visit fhgov.com, then click on the traffic cone located on the orange Road Construction tile on the main page. Or access the map directly at fhgov.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=049be0c0d85c45af8e6f174c1689fbe9.
Click on colored areas of the map to find each project’s location and parameters. The map also includes information about drains, sidewalks, intersections, and utilities that will be under construction in 2019.
“Providing residents and commuters with this information via an online interactive map will help them avoid areas that are under construction,” Matt Malone, GIS Coordinator, said in a press release. “We appreciate everyone’s patience as we improve the roads in Farmington Hills.”
For more information about the interactive map, contact Malone at 248-871-2434 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on construction projects, call the Engineering Division at 248-871-2560.
