Friendship Circle, local artist team up for downtown art project

Starting June 28, street artist David Zinn and the Friendship Circle of West Bloomfield will team up to create a unique art installation in downtown Farmington.

Zinn, who works in chalk, will partner with an artist from the Friendship Circle’s Farber Soul Center, which provides opportunities for artistic expression, education, and employment opportunities for adults with special needs. Visitors to downtown Farmington are encouraged to search the sidewalks for hidden drawings.

This event is tied in with the Farmington Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Downtown Farmington Public Art Blueprint. The committee tasked with implementing the plan developed in 2017 will also oversee installation of several sculptures in Riley Park and a large mural downtown.
