Farmington Public Schools trustees will hold a special meeting on February 27 to interview three firms hoping to help with the search for a new superintendent.
The district’s current leader, Dr. George Heitsch, will retire on July 1. Trustees earlier this month met with consultant Donna Oser from the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), who outlined the search process and what to expect from a consulting firm.
Interviews start at 5 p.m. with Oser, who will talk about MASB’s search services, followed by Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, and Ray and Associates. Following an opportunity for public comment, trustees will deliberate and expect to choose a firm before they adjourn.
The meeting will be held in the board room at the Lewis Schulman Administrative Center, 32500 Shiawassee in Farmington. Information about each firm is in the agenda packet posted at https://login.boardbook.org/Public/PublicHome.aspx?ak=1000199.
