FPS alumni invited to complete new association survey

The Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation has established a Farmington Public Schools alumni association with a searchable directory, special events, and other features designed to connect the community.

Alumni and supporters can sign up for FPS Alumni Association communications and become association members through a donation, including a level at which members pay an amount equal to their graduation year – the Class of 1980 would pay $19.80, for example.

Membership perks at various levels include everything from alumni T-shirts and magnets to reserved parking and tickets for sporting and theater events. Donations also support the alumni association’s activities, which will include an annual alumni scholarship at each high school, reunion support, and more.

The foundation has developed a survey that asks alumni and district residents what they’d like to see in the new initiative. Weigh in at surveymonkey.com/r/FPSalum.

“We are very excited to move ahead with this new alumni association designed specifically for the people who have made our school district and community such a wonderful place over the years,” said Aimee Ergas, Committee Chair of Alumni Outreach for the Farmington/Farmington Hills Education Foundation.

The association will share alumni news and information about district initiatives and events. Members also can learn more about how they can get involved and help support Farmington’s current students.

””We are proud of the fact that many alumni continue to support our schools’ current students in so many meaningful ways. We look forward to having some great conversations and to increasing our level of engagement with alumni in the months and years to come,” Ergas said.
