Two Farmington Hills Police Service Aides have been sworn as the department’s newest officers.

Family and friends attended a ceremony held November 14 for Officer Ryan Eddings and Officer Ryan Zarras, who are now assigned to the Operations Bureau Patrol Division as part of the Field Training program.
Eddings began his employment with the Police Department in 2017. He holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Schoolcraft College and graduated this month from the Wayne County Regional Police Academy.
Zarras also began his employment in 2017 and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University. He graduated this month from the Wayne County Regional Police Academy, where he was awarded the Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union First Responders Scholarship and the Patrick O’Rourke Memorial Scholarship, which totaled $4,500.
