Farmington Schools trustees to interview search firms Feb. 27

Farmington Public Schools trustees will on Wednesday, February 27, interview four firms interested in helping them with the search for a new superintendent.

Dr. George Heitsch will retire at the end of this school year; his last day is July 1. Trustees met on February 11 with a Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) consultant to discuss the search and selection process.

Board president Pam Green said trustees chose to interview these four from among seven applicants:

The 5 p.m. interviews will be held at the Lewis Schulman Administrative Center, 32500 Shiawassee in Farmington.

“Immediately following the interviews, we will deliberate and select that firm that will lead us in our superintendent search,” Green said in an email.
