Farmington Schools teams battle for a good cause

A December 8 battle on the basketball court will pit two Farmington Public Schools teams – Warner Middle School and Farmington STEAM Academy versus Power Middle School and East Middle School – to raise money, collect food and toys for Farmington area families in need.

The Battle of the Middles will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Harrison High School gymnasium, with doors opening at 5:45 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students, or $1 with two or more canned goods or free with a new unwrapped toy.

Battle of the Middles
The North will defend its crown in this year’s Battle of the Middles at Harrison High.

Last year’s game raised more than $8,300 and helped more than 200 families in the Farmington area. Over the past decade, the Battle of the Middles has helped raise more than $65,877 and collected countless canned goods and toys. All proceeds support Neighborhood House of Farmington/Farmington Hills, which helps local families year-round, and the Farmington Area Goodfellows, which ensures no child or senior goes without a Christmas.
