Farmington Public Schools Director of Instructional Equity Naomi Khalil has received Corp! Magazine’s  Diversity Business Leader Award for outstanding leadership in diversity and inclusion.

Corp! held its 2018 Salute to Diversity Awards on September 13, at the International Banquet Center in Detroit. Honorees were chosen for their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion, and contributions to diversity issues in business and the community. Corp! not only considered race and ethnicity, but also gender, religion and handicapping conditions worthy of recognition.

“I am honored to accept this award on behalf of Farmington Public Schools,” Khalil said. “Farmington Public Schools is starting to move beyond just the celebration of heroes and holidays. We are working diligently to promote equity through educational forums, ongoing discourse, and policy/procedural updates. At FPS, our strength comes from our diversity, and we will continue to center on this work moving forward.”
