Farmington Schools events seek ‘Unity through Diversity’

Farmington Public Schools will host a series of fall “Unity Through Diversity” workshops aimed at bringing the community together.

All of these workshops will be held from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Maxfield Education Center, 32789 W. 10 Mile Rd, Farmington:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 25: Power & Privilege Dynamics
  • Wednesday, Nov. 15: Embracing Religious Diversity
  • Wednesday, Nov. 29: Examining the Role of Race in the United States
  • Wednesday, Dec. 13: Understanding the Gender Spectrum

The sessions, which examine privilege, prejudice, bias, and “isms,” will be interactive with video and dialogue opportunities. Sessions are stand alone, and registration is not necessary. Seating is limited to 70 people.
