Farmington Area Republicans will on Thursday, Oct. 5, host a presentation by non-partisan redistricting reform advocate Lija Hogan, who is education director for Voters Not Politicians.

Hogan is a user experience research educator and practitioner. Voters Not Politicians is leading the charge to end gerrymandering in Michigan through a citizen-led ballot initiative to collect 315,654 valid signatures within 180 consecutive days. The petition proposes amending Michigan’s Constitution in the 2018 election to create a citizen-led redistricting commission.

The 7 p.m. meeting at Farmington Hills City Hall, 31555 W. 11 Mile Rd., is open to the public.
