Donation bins will appear April 13 at the Farmington Public Schools (FPS) Central Office parking lot, launching a clothing and shoe drive that will benefit local families.
The district has for the past several year partnered with St. Vincent de Paul, a 130-year-old charity that each year provides more than 300,000 southeast Michigan residents with food, shelter, utility assistance and more.
After the Donation Drive, which ends on April 30, St. Vincent de Paul provides the school district with gift cards to their store in Keego Harbor, which are then distributed to FPS families in need.
Stop by the parking lot, located at 32500 Shiawassee in Farmington, anytime to use the self-service bins. Donation slips can be found within the bins. Large items cannot be accepted; to schedule a pick-up, call 1-877-788-4623 or visit svdpdet.org.
