Farmington Public Safety hires U.S. Navy veteran

Farmington Public Safety Department’s newest officer, Joseph Placido, was sworn in July 30 during a ceremony held at City Hall.

“Officer Placido has a very impressive resume,” Public Safety Director Frank Demers said in a press release. “He is a U.S. Navy veteran and previously worked as a firefighter/paramedic before attending the Oakland Police Academy to pursue a career in law enforcement. Officer Placido will be assigned to the Patrol Division where he will complete a 12-week field training program.”
