Farmington police seek info on frightening stranger

Farmington Public Safety has asked for help in identifying someone who frightened a Farmington High student in the area of Orchard Lake Road and Shiawassee Street early Friday morning.

According to a alert, the student was walking on the east side of Orchard Lake Road at around 7:10 a.m. As she approached the Shiawassee crosswalk, someone walked up, grabbed her arm and said, “I need your help”. The student ran, and the person who grabbed her did not follow.

According to the alert, police know only that the person had a deep voice and wore black pants and a black hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Farmington Public Safety Department at 248-474-4700. Police are also encouraging students to walk in groups and to stay in well-lighted areas whenever possible.
