Farmington Public Safety Director Frank Demers says a Thursday night drive-by shooting “targeted” a home in the 23500 block of Wesley Street in Farmington.
Residents flooded the department with 9-1-1 calls at around 10:30 p.m., according to statement released Friday morning. Officers, who arrived within two minutes, determined that no one in the home was injured. They found numerous shell casings in the street, and witnesses reported as many as three vehicles driving away at a high rate of speed.
“Although the investigation is ongoing, it is clear that the home was targeted, and this was not a random event,” Demers said. “Detectives are working with the family to determine why their home was targeted.”
Anyone with information on the makes and models of the vehicles involved is asked to call Farmington Public Safety Commander Justin DuLong at 248-474-5500, ext. 2246.
