Brandon Ramone Joiner, a 23-year-old Detroit man, faces charges in connection with the March 7 armed robbery at the Go Wireless store, 30780 Grand River Ave. in Farmington.
According to a Farmington Public Safety press release, a lone gunman entered the store at approximately 6:30 p.m. He jumped the service counter and ordered the clerk to the ground at gunpoint. The man took cell phones from a storage room and ran off.
The release noted that investigators interviewed “numerous witnesses” and collected evidence that linked joiner to the crime. At his arraignment in 47th District Court, he entered a “not guilty” plea to a charge of Armed Robbery, a felony punishable by life in prison, and remains in the Oakland County jail with no bond. His next scheduled court appearance is Oct. 9.
“We are grateful that a dangerous man has been taken off the street,” Farmington Public Safety Director Frank Demers said. “The investigators assigned to this case served numerous search warrants and conducted relentless follow-up and assessment to secure charges against the defendant.”
