Hundreds of Farmington area residents lined Grand River in Farmington Monday for the city’s annual Memorial Day parade, hosted by the Groves-Walker American Legion Post and Xemplar Club.
Parade units representing Farmington and Farmington Hills police and firefighters, local veterans, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, high school bands, Camp Casey, Farmington and Farmington Hills city councils, and local youth sports programs, traveled for more than a mile in 90-degree heat.

At the end of the route, a brief ceremony in Memorial Park at Grand River and Oakland Street honored parade Grand Marshals Ed Good and Orville Roberts, both veterans of World War II. (Find more photos on Instagram, @FFHVoice.)
