In a meeting delayed due to the Labor Day holiday, Farmington city council members will on Tuesday revisit several discussions from an August 20 study session.
The 7 p.m. meeting agenda includes first readings of proposed ordinance amendments that would:
- increase fines to $100 for motorists who rack up more than three parking tickets in timed downtown lots
- require motorists to stop for pedestrians at crosswalks without signals
- bar shops that stock e-cigarettes and vape supplies from selling to minors
Officials will also consider approving a $34,272 payment to cover emergency repairs to the Caddell Drain. The amount, which represents 11.9 percent of the project cost, will be taken from the city’s General Fund.
