Farmington officials interview for clerk position Monday

Farmington city council members will interview Deputy Clerk Mary Mullison for the position of City Clerk during a 5:30 p.m. special meeting held Monday in the conference room at City Hall.

Also on the special agenda, officials will discuss an agreement with KaBOOM! Inc. to install new playground equipment at Flanders Park. That’s an action item on their 7 p.m. regular meeting agenda, which also includes:

  • 2018-2019 budgets. You can weigh in during a public hearing on the 2018-19 budget and millage rates (FARMINGTON OFFICIALS HOLD MILLAGE STEADY, PLAN 3 MILL BALLOT QUESTION), which officials will likely approve at the same meeting. They will also adopt the DDA, 47th District Court, Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, Corridor Improvement Authority and Joint Agency 2018-2019 budgets, and amend the DDA and city 2017-2018 budgets.

  • Parking. The city’s seven-member parking committee has trouble getting a quorum together and wants to drop one resident and one business member.
