Farmington Musicale awards summer study scholarships

The Farmington Musicale, as part of its outreach to musical youth, has awarded $1,270 to four young musicians who will attend summer music programs.

The organization has awarded full scholarships to two students and given partial scholarships to two others. Full scholarships went to Chloe Gruenhagen, 4th grade student of Elaine Vermiglio and Indiyah Thompson, 6th grade student of Shelly Torossian. Both will attend Schoolcraft College’s Piano Camp.

Partial scholarships were awarded to Hannah Oh, 4th grade student, who will receive $350 to attend Blue Lake Family Camp as a cello major, and Caleb LaBelle, a clarinet student of Fern Barber, who will receive $200 to help with tuition costs for Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.

Scholarship funding came from Park West Gallery and other Musicale friends.
