Farmington Hills Stars concert features high school musicians

Student musicians will take over the amphitheater in Heritage Park for the July 19 Stars in the Park concert.


Coming from Grosse Pointe Woods, Cate Ramsey will sing and play keyboard in the band called Aviary, supported by drummer Shane Fitzpatrick, bassist/ukulele Andrew Jackson, sax/keyboard by Evan Smolen, and guitarist Ben Uznis.

Gabby Stars in the Park

Vocalist Gabby Marie Bagtas from Warren will perform songs from her solo album titled “Don’t Be Afraid to Color Outside the Lines.”

Several members of the School of Rock Farmington House Band will play in varied ensembles featuring acoustic, psychedelic rock and indie punk.

The 7 p.m. concert will be held rain or shine; if the weather is inclement, it may move to the Costick Center, 28600 W. 11 Mile Rd. in Farmington Hills. Call the concert hotline, 248-473-1848, after 5 p.m. the day of the event for concert status.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services continues its raffle to win a Mercedes-Benz driving experience. Attendees (21 years or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license) may enter by visiting the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services vehicle display during each concert. The final winner will be announced at the August 16 concert.
