Farmington Hills Paw Watch meets Aug. 24

On Thursday, August 24 at 6 p.m., the Farmington Hills Police Department’s Crime Prevention Section will host a Paw Watch meeting at Police Headquarters, 31655 W. 11 Mile Rd.

Pet owners (pets do not attend) will learn how to observe suspicious activities or criminal behavior, what type of information the Police Department is seeking, and how to report information in a way that helps police officers respond to incidents. In addition, participants will learn how to remain safe when they are out walking their pets.

The Paw Watch meeting is open to all residents. Every pet who joins the program will receive a Paw Watch bandana. Light refreshments will be served and a special safety prize will be awarded in a raffle held at the end of the meeting.
