Cash awards and medals are up for grabs in the 2019-2020 Farmington/Farmington Hills Optimist Breakfast Club Essay Contest, with the topic, βIs Optimism the Key to Achieving the Dreams you iMagine?β.
The competition is open to students in grades 6-8 and 9-12. All students must either attend school or live within the boundaries of Farmington and Farmington Hills.
The top three students in 6th, 7th & 8th grades and for the top three in 9th-12th grades receive medals and cash prizes. All contestants at each level must show proof of age, either with a copy of a birth certificate or passport.
Winning students and their families are invited to an awards presentation breakfast at John Cowley & Sons in downtown Farmington on Wednesday, November 20, at 7:30 a.m.
