A Farmington/Farmington Hills committee that’s looking at municipal broadband services will present its findings during a joint city council meeting held March 25, 6 p.m., in the Community Room at Farmington Hills City Hall, 31555 W. 11 Mile Rd.
The Municipal Broadband Committee has since last summer investigated the feasibility of both cities providing high-speed internet service as a public utility. Their meeting minutes are posted on the City of Farmington Hills website.
During their 7:30 p.m. regular meeting in the council chamber, Farmington Hills council members will consider ordinances that affect fireworks use and placement of wireless facilities in public rights of way; a request from Aroma Indian Cuisine for a liquor license transfer; a policy about converting gravel roads to paved roads; and a Planned Unit Development agreement for a hotel and relocation of a historic home at 22000 Haggerty Road.
Farmington officials will hold a special 7:30 p.m. meeting at City Hall, 23600 Liberty St., to talk about budgeting new millage dollars based on departmental capital requests. The agenda and supporting materials for that meeting are posted at farmgov.com.
