Farmington Hills officials consider changes to Beaumont hospital plans

Farmington Hills city council members will on Monday consider a plan amendment that would bring more parking to the Beaumont Farmington Hills hospital site.

An approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) agreement covers the $160 million expansion of the former Botsford Hospital on Grand River. The new parking would require demolishing an apartment building in the northeast corner of the property.

Council members will meet in a study session at 6 p.m. to talk about state incentives for industrial facilities, a policy for the use of city-owned facilities, and the election process. In addition to the PUD amendment, the 7:30 p.m. agenda will include a proclamation recognizing November 24, 2018 as Small Business Saturday and time for public comment.

Agendas for both meetings are posted at
